Anyone ever been to a bead fair?

Has anyone ever been to one? Is it cheaper to buy beads there than stores and online stores? Is it worth going to?

1. I belong to the Bead Society of Great Britain, which hosts Europe's biggest bead fair once a year. I can tell you that if it's a big fair, all the largest stockists from your country will be there. And yes - go if you get the chance - it's intoxicating and exciting. Some prices will definitely be much lower as there are often 'Show Specials' and discounts, no postage charges to pay, of course, and a chance to discuss projects with stall holders. And you will see people wearing the most amazing pieces that they have made themselves.
2. I go every now n then. I have noticed you can get good prices if you know what you are looking for. Keep in mind if there is 1 or 2 bad beads on a string and it's still a deal go for it. Those couple of beads won't make that big of a difference.
